The Holiday Spirit is alive and well at RE/MAX Lake of the Ozarks. Today, our Charitable Foundation is delivering food donations to various food pantries, and the agents and staff were called upon to contribute by unloading and sorting this morning. The Jason Whittle team sent our strongest to represent, and what unfolded is the back story of kindness and contribuition.
While his youth and strength are much appreciated, our young buck, Spencer Carlock, attempted more than his clothing could handle. Let's embellish and say that while Spencer was lifting 6 or 7 boxes of heavy canned goods (or 2 small containers of corn flakes), his britches lost in the battle.... Riiiiiiiipppp went the seam!
Being full of the giving spirit, and in possession of a magic bag of everything-you-could-ever-need, our multi-talented closing coordinator, Carol Harper, saved the day. She repaired the traitorous trousers while Spencer waited patiently in the conference room in his makeshift coat-pants. A good time was had by all!
Let's not mention the donuts that may or may not have contributed to the ill-fitting slacks.
In all seriousness, it is important to be ever mindful of the needs of others, not only during the holidays, but all year long. RE/MAX Lake of the Ozarks is committed to donating time and resources for many lake area organizations including Kids Harbor, Child Advocacy, American Cancer Society, Blue Moon Animal Shelter, Dream Factory, Wonderland Camp, Lake of the Ozarks Development Center, Daybreak Rotary, Child Learning Center, CADV, Agents for Aide and many more.
Make the time, and research charitable opportunities through your area Chamber of Commerce or via the internet, or simply pluck an angel or candy cane from a “Giving Tree” to fulfill a wish for Christmas.
